Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and whoever offers cucinIA for using the app on iPhone and Android and this site. You accept them when you create an account. Read them together with the Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with your data. The Spanish version is the official one; this English version is a translation.
In short
- You need to be 14 or older to use cucinIA, or have permission from your mother, father or legal guardian.
- What you post stays yours; you let us show it to whoever you choose while it's posted.
- Zero tolerance for harassment, hate, threats, sexual or violent content, spam and impersonation: we remove it and can close the account. You can block and report anyone.
- Artificial intelligence suggests recipes and plans that can contain mistakes: check ingredients, allergies and cooking yourself. It isn't medical advice.
- Premium is charged by Apple or Google, and it renews until you cancel it in your store.
- None of this limits your rights as a consumer under Chilean law.
1. Who offers cucinIA
cucinIA is offered by Steady Labs SpA, RUT 78.544.915-0, located at [ADDRESS] ("we"). You can write to us at contacto@steadylabs.cl.
2. Your account
- Age: you need to be 14 or older to create an account. If you're younger, you may only use cucinIA with the consent of your mother, father or legal guardian, who accepts these terms for you.
- One person per account. Don't share it or use someone else's, and don't create new accounts to get around a block, a limit or a closure.
- Look after your access. You're responsible for what's done with your account. If you think someone got into it, change your password and write to us.
- Your username can't pretend to be another person, cucinIA, or a brand that isn't yours.
3. What you post
Your recipes, their photos and video links, your comments, your ratings and your profile.
- It stays yours. So the app can work, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to store it, show it and fit it to the screen (for example, making a photo smaller) for the people you choose with its visibility: everyone, your friends, or only you. The permission ends when you delete it or delete your account.
- Only post what you may post: your own photos and texts, or other people's with their permission. Videos are links to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, and follow those platforms' rules.
- What other people post is theirs. Don't copy it outside cucinIA without their permission.
4. Zero tolerance
On cucinIA you may not post or do any of this:
- harassment, insults, threats or intimidation;
- hate or discrimination based on origin, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other condition;
- sexual content or nudity, and any content that sexualizes minors;
- graphic violence, or content that promotes it or encourages self-harm;
- spam, unwanted advertising or scams;
- pretending to be another person or a brand;
- posting other people's personal data without their permission;
- illegal content or content that infringes other people's rights;
- trying to harm the app, get around its limits or use it with automated programs.
If you see something like this, report it. For a recipe's photo, tap ··· on the photo › Report photo. For a comment, tap ··· next to the comment › Report comment. For a person, open their profile and tap ··· › Block › Block and report. You can also write to us. We review reports within 24 hours.
You can block anyone: they'll stop seeing your profile and recipes and won't be able to follow you or comment on them, and you'll stop seeing what they post. We don't tell them.
We may remove anything that breaks these terms, without notice, and restrict or close the account of whoever breaks them, especially when it's serious or repeated. A restricted account can't post anything others see (for 7 days, 30 days or until further notice), but keeps using the app. A closed account can't sign in again, and what it posted disappears; for 30 days we can reopen it, after which its data is deleted and its email can't sign up again. Either way the app tells you why. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and we'll look again.
5. AI, allergies and your health
- AI can make mistakes. cucinIA uses artificial intelligence to read photos, suggest recipes, build weekly plans and estimate calories. It can misread a product, give a wrong amount or cooking time, or get calories wrong.
- Allergy warnings help, but they aren't a guarantee. Always check the ingredients and the labels of what you buy, especially if you have a severe allergy.
- You decide what you cook and how. Handle food safely: its cooking, temperature and storage.
- It isn't medical advice. The nutrition plan and the calorie and protein targets are general guidance. They don't replace a health professional: if you have a health condition, follow their advice.
6. Supermarket prices
Prices, products and photos from Jumbo, Santa Isabel and Unimarc are read from their public websites and may be out of date or differ from your store. They're a reference: the price that counts is the store's when you buy. cucinIA doesn't sell products and has no business relationship with those supermarkets, whose brands belong to their owners.
7. Premium
- What it is: a paid subscription that adds features, such as the weekly plan, the nutrition plan and recipes without ads. What it includes and its price, in Chilean pesos including VAT, are shown in the app before you pay. The free plan has ads.
- Who charges it: Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), with your account in that store. With automatic renewal, it renews at the end of each period until you cancel it in your store's subscription settings; if you pay once, it ends on its date. When you cancel, you keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds: handled by the store under its rules, without affecting the rights the law gives you.
- Discount codes: they lower only the first payment of the plan they name, can be redeemed once per account and only if you don't have Premium, and expire on their date. They can't be exchanged for money.
- Price changes: we'll tell you beforehand, and they apply from the next renewal, under your store's rules.
8. What belongs to cucinIA
The app, its name, logo, design and code belong to us or to those who gave us permission. You may use cucinIA for your personal use; you may not copy it, resell it, decompile it, or extract its data with automated programs. Recipes cucinIA includes from other sources belong to their owners.
9. Liability
We do our best to keep cucinIA working well and available, but it can have errors or interruptions, and we may change or stop offering features. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect damages from using the app or for what other people post.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights given to you by Law No. 19,496 on the Protection of Consumer Rights, or any other rights the law doesn't allow you to waive.
10. Closing your account
You can delete your account whenever you want in Profile › Account & privacy › Delete account: it's deleted at once, as the Privacy Policy explains. If you have Premium with automatic renewal, also cancel it in your store: deleting the account doesn't cancel it. We may restrict or close an account that breaks these terms (see section 4).
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in an important way, we'll let you know in the app before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can stop using cucinIA and delete your account. The date at the top shows the current version.
12. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. If you have a problem, write to us first: that's the fastest way to solve it. As a consumer, you can also go to Chile's National Consumer Service (SERNAC) and to the courts the law allows you, including those where you live.
